LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION

At Body by Design, we always welcome talented massage therapists!

Due to our rapidly growing clientele and scheduling demands, we are seeking several LMTs to join our expanding team.

Our team is a group of experienced, positive healing therapists. At Body by Design you are not a worker bee… you belong to a family.

Extensive post graduation experience is not required. We are happy to provide hands-on training when needed. We look for people with the right energy, attitudes and character traits to maintain a positive and enjoyable environment for staff and clients alike.

We don’t give “cookie cutter” massages! As an LMT at Body by Design, you will have the freedom to customize each session for each client based on each his/her needs.

 
Our Approach:
We develop a collaborative treatment plan with each client by:
1) Listening to the clients needs
2) Determining their expectations
3) Educating them on what we think the best approach would be to optimize results
4) Suggesting a treatment plan
5) Moving forward with the client’s approval

Job Requirements

Every therapist must:
  • Have a massage therapist license from the state of Pennsylvania
  • Carry liability insurance
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have proficiency in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage

*We do not require, but we do prefer that each therapist have proficiency in one or more of the following: Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone/Bamboo, Lymphatic Massage and Reflexology

All staff must be customer service oriented

 

Willing/able to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management

Understand and believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork

 

Willing/able to learn online booking protocol and complete client checkout (smart phone required)
