Massage in the workplace: reduced injuries, improved job satisfaction. Several studies have looked at what benefits occur when massage therapy is offered in the workplace. Through these we see that massage can help to prevent overuse injuries, decrease pain, increase range of motion, reduce blood pressure, and improve job satisfaction among office workers. Other studies found it is both feasible and beneficial to offer massage to reduce stress-related symptoms among health-care providers. Incorporating our massage membership allows employers to add a valuable physical and mental health.

The employer enters into a membership agreement with Body by Design and provides a corporate card for billing. The card will be charged monthly for massage services. This agreement will be auto renewed each year unless terminated in writing. No refunds will be issues for unused sessions; however, an audit of your account will be conducted every 3 months to encourage participants to utilize their benefits. The employer will provide a list of employees and family members who are eligible for the company’s massage benefit, in addition to their contact information. If there is a change in employment status, the company will need to notify us to terminate the membership benefit. A team member from Body By Design will come on site to explain the new massage EAP benefit, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding who to schedule with for a specific concern. Concierge scheduling will be provided on site for the initial appointment if the employer gathers staff to take advantage of this optional orientation. We do recommend this option for a personal connection to be established between our team and your staff. In lieu of onsite orientation, Body By Design will contact each person with a personalized scheduling link in their welcome email. We will reach out by phone to members who do not book online and may need additional assistance.
