A distinguished alumnus of the Pittsburgh School of Pain Management, she holds a license in massage therapy, specializing in trigger point therapy and therapeutic massage. Heather was recently elected as the Vice President of The National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists.

Since launching Body by Design in 2008, Heather’s dedication to alleviating muscular pain and enhancing the well-being of her clients has been unwavering. Her practice is more than a career; it’s a calling. Heather’s hands are not just tools of healing but also instruments of transformation, touching lives deeply and fostering a legacy of wellness. Brittny is a newly licensed massage therapist from Pittsburgh Technical College embarking on her journey to gain experience in helping clients achieve relaxation and wellness through therapeutic touch. Specializing in Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Aromatherapy, Brittny tailors each session to meet individual needs, whether it’s relieving stress, alleviating pain, or enhancing your overall well-being. Stacey studied Trigger Point therapy and Thai healing practices since 2012. She is a CTB Practitioner and continues to study with Coaching The Body™ Founder, Chuck Duff, at the CTB™ Institute in Evanston, IL. Stacey is a Certified CTB™ Shoulder, Hip and Sciatica Specialist while also focusing on the whole body. For several years Stacey studied advanced Shamanic energy healing techniques, mindfulness meditation, and she is Certified Heart Math Practitioner.

In 2022, Stacey attended ABTech and received her massage therapy license in Asheville, North Carolina. In her free time, Stacey enjoys riding her mountain bike in the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains. Understanding the importance and value of being able to do the things you love, Stacey has dedicated her practice to helping people become free of pain and discomfort.

Page’s journey into the world of massage therapy began amidst the creative hustle of studying theater in College. She discovered the transformative power of stretching and the healing touch of neck and shoulder rubs during late-night study sessions. This early fascination laid the groundwork for a significant shift in her career trajectory. 

After gaining valuable experience in retail, Page sought to formalize her innate talent through professional education. She graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 1995.

Expertise through Experience

With a therapeutic vision guiding her practice, Page honed her skills by initially working on family and friends and gradually transitioning to a professional setting. Her dedication and expertise culminated in a fruitful 16-year tenure as a full-time therapist in Seven Fields before bringing her talents to Body by Design.

Specializing in Swedish massage, James is adept at creating a tranquil environment where relaxation and the alleviation of aches and pains are the focal points of his sessions.

Now, as he embarks on his professional career, James is enthusiastic about establishing himself within his new “massage home.” He is keen on contributing to the well-being of clients and working alongside them to achieve their health and relaxation goals. My name is Thomas (Tom) Thornton, LMT. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 11 years. I attended ECPI University – Medical Careers Institute’s Massage School in Newport News, Virginia. Much of my continuing education has taken place in the Pittsburgh area. Massage has been an important part of my life for over thirty years. In 2011, I chose to embark on my journey as a massage therapist. My massage brings a relaxing approach combining deeply therapeutic methods. I look forward to meeting you soon.

 

Melissa is a dedicated and compassionate massage therapist who began her journey in the healing arts in 2008 and earned an Associate in Science in Massage Therapy from CCAC. Her professional ethos is rooted in a simple yet profound mission: to alleviate stress and physical discomfort and empower her clients to focus on what matters most in their lives.
